While your relationship with the development team is crucial, you should not ignore your relationship with teams outside of engineering. Even if you have the best engineering team working with you, you will not succeed if you have poor relationships with marketing, sales, your boss, or your peers. Building these relationships helps ensure your success—and it can be a lot of fun, as well.
