Understanding the People

Understanding your co-workers will make your job much more productive and a lot more fun. Conversely, not getting to know them will be frustrating and can lead to friction. Fortunately, you can find out a lot by talking to people, especially the developers on your team.

Ask the following questions:

  • What do you like to do?

  • What work assignments do you dislike?

  • What do you do best?

  • What would you like help with?

  • Where else have you worked?

  • Why did you join this company?

  • What would you like to change?
