Summary

Don't take an internationalization effort lightly, even though it may seem easy on the surface. Review with the customer all the factors presented in this appendix. The customer might surprise you with new requirements based on your questions. This approach will also raise issues with the customer about any longer-term internationalization plans. An implementation that works well in Latin-based languages may not work well in Asia, for example. It is much better to ask questions up front than to be surprised and get stuck later.
