3.3. Starter GPOs
The last big, new GPMC feature is called Starter GPOs. In big companies, there are often just a handful of people at the top who really "get" Group Policy. But there are a whole lot of people in the company who have to implement it. Not everyone can take a master class on Group Policy (hint, hint: www.GPanswers.com/workshop) or spend the time reading this book and working through all the examples.
With that in mind, Microsoft created Starter GPOs. The idea is that someone can create a GPO with some baseline settings, including comments, and make them available for others as a jumping-off point.
