1.9. Our Own Group Policy Examples

Now that you've got a grip on honing your view within the GPMC, let's take it for a quick spin around the block with some examples!

For this series of examples, we're going after the users who keep fiddling with their display gadgets in Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.

If you want to see these examples in action using Windows XP, first start out on XPPRO1 by checking out the default Display Properties dialog box. Just right-click the Desktop and choose Properties from the shortcut menu. You'll see several tabs, including Screen Saver, Appearance, and Settings, as shown in Figure 1.15 (left screen).
