7.8. Final Thoughts

Managing ADM and ADMX files can be a little tricky. And this whole notion of GPMC 1.0, GPMC 1.5, and GPMC 2.0 can be kind of confusing too. (And it doesn't really help that the real name of the GPMC 2.0 is version 6.0; but I digress.)

The key message to take away is always use a GPMC 2.0 management station if possible to do your editing. Again, that means you'll need to get a Windows Vista + SP1 + downloadable GPMC 2.0 (within the RSAT tools) or a Windows Server 2008 machine. Then commit to using that as your management station.
