Chapter 25. Sprite Animation

The AWT does not provide direct support for animation—there is no animation package, for example. However, the AWT does provide all of the underlying infrastructure necessary for implementing animations. This chapter presents an animation package that builds on double buffering techniques presented in the Double Buffering chapter.
