Summary
This chapter covered the text components provided by the AWT: textfields and textareas. We've discussed not only textfields and textareas but also taken a look at their superclass: TextComponent, which provides a number of services shared by textfields and text areas. Additionally, we've taken a short detour to discuss input validation for textfields, both exit validation and on-the-fly validation.
