DEEVA-HA for GAR—DE
With a casual collaboration stretching back to their college days, Pete Deevakul and Jiminie Ha worked together occasionally for three years before they officially launched DEEVA-HA in 2010. Their backgrounds are in photography and graphic design respectively, and they have merged these complementary yet independent disciplines with their creative process and raw creative energy. Based in New York, they are inspired by their immediate surroundings. “We work using materials and equipment that are at hand. We take advantage of our limitations and turn them into points of departure,” says Ha. This proactive attitude infuses their work with a spontaneous energy that is particularly attractive to the fashion industry.
