Unless you are simply shooting coverage of a live event for a telecast, your goal in recording motion images will be to pass along the best possible footage to the editor. You should always remember that you must shoot for the edit. Film production exists so that film postproduction can excel. If you create many beautiful compositions and achieve some very complex moving camera shots, and they are well planned such that they can all be visually integrated in the edit process, then you have done very well.
