Summary

Wow! This was a very productive iteration. We implemented one of the most critical features of our application; a community-based event-organizing effort is doomed without good communication. While we were at it, we learned about three important features of Grails. Grails templates are a convenient way of sharing common portions of GSP code and are very helpful when using Ajax. We also learned that Grails makes working with Ajax a snap, while not locking us into any one JavaScript library. Then we got an overview and some good practice with those awesome custom GSP tags.
