Web-based information disclosure is a battlefield. Programmers, lawyers, policy makers, informed web users, privacy advocates, and companies square off on all sides of the issue. Meanwhile, typical users carelessly provide sensitive information through their use of online tools, and unbeknownst to these users, their computers and web browsers churn out identifying information.
