Chapter 15. Using Google as a Calculator and Converter
When you can’t be troubled to reach over and pick up the handheld calculator sitting on your desk, you can use Google as a high-tech web-based calculator—the world’s most overly complex calculator, to be sure, but a calculator nonetheless.
But I jest. It’s actually quite convenient to enter an equation into the Google search box and get an answer right in your web browser. I’m not sure exactly why Google added this functionality to their site, but I know it’s getting a bit of use—from me personally, if from no one else.
