Appendix A. What's New with Google SketchUp 7
With each new version of the software, there are a host of new features. There are also several minor improvements that make the software more efficient and which improve your productivity.
Many of the improvements in this version are a direct result of feedback from existing users. The SketchUp development team is committed to making software that works for you, and part of this effort involves listening to their users. New Features in SketchUp 7
This category of improvements is designated as major because it represents a new set of features that haven't been in the software previously. These new features let you do things that weren't possible in the previous editions.
Dynamic Components
Probably the biggest new addition to SketchUp 7 is the Dynamic Components. Within these components, you can control the behavior of objects using custom parameters such as the ability to open and close windows or to add and subtract stairs. All SketchUp 7 users can include and use dynamic components in their designs, and SketchUp 7 Pro users have the ability to create custom dynamic components.
