About the Author
Evangelos Petroutsos has an M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has worked for universities such as UCSB and the California Institute of Technology. Evangelos is fascinated with geography and was among the early users of ARC/INFO. For over two decades, he has been involved in the design and implementation of mainstream business software and has authored many books and numerous articles on programming topics. He is experienced with spatial databases and GIS, and has implemented map-enabled sites based on Google Maps since version 2 of the API. He is currently involved in a GIS project for a gas utility company.
