4. The Power of Google+ Hangouts

One of the greatest features in Google+ is called Hangouts. When they created Google+, the Google developers wanted to create a space similar to a front porch. Think about sitting on a front porch of your house. People naturally stop by and hang out. Some stop for only a brief hello, others for a lengthy chat. Some people you hardly know, some you know well. It’s the same with Hangouts. Anyone can drop in and say hi, just like anyone can drop by when you’re on your porch.

This tool can be incredibly powerful for expanding the reach of your nonprofit if used for the right reason. Hangouts aren’t for pitching your nonprofit any more than you would want to be a guy on his porch yelling into a bullhorn.
