Conventions Used in This Book

We know that doing something the same way over and over again can be boring (the opening credits of 30 Rock comes to mind), but sometimes consistency can be a good thing. For one thing, it makes stuff easier to understand. In this book, those consistent elements are conventions. In fact, we use italics to identify and define the new terms. We also put search terms and keywords in monofont.

Whenever you have to type something, we put the stuff you need to type in bold type so it's easy to see.

When we type the rare snippets of code we show you, and for keywords and search terms, we use a monospace font that looks like this: www.dummies.com.
