Knowing Your Three Landing Page Audiences

Your AdWords landing page must impress three suitors: your visitor, the Google spider (the software program that evaluates your website), and the human reviewer at Google who subjectively decides the quality of your site.

image Your visitor is the most important audience to consider. Only visitors can turn into customers and revenue. The rub is, though, that unless the Google spider and human reviewers approve of your landing page, you'll never get to show it to your visitor. So, you have to treat these gatekeepers with as much respect as you treat your VIP visitor.

Not every site gets reviewed by a human. If the spider finds something its algorithm that it deems fishy, or if you're in a highly scrutinized industry (such as weight loss or home business), a human reviewer will be deployed to peruse your site to be sure that it meets Google's policies, stated and unstated.
