The policies of an IT organization or corporate IT department are governed by CIOs and IT directors. So it’s important to understand what’s important to them. I searched through some online CIO groups and their discussions. Listed here are some topics that appear frequently in their discussions. This is not an exhaustive list but fairly well represents what’s on the mind of top management in IT organizations. I am listing only the topic names. A detailed discussion of these topics is beyond the scope of this book.
