ASSERTIVE BEHAVIOR

How often have you felt frustrated by a difficulty to express yourself clearly and concisely? Have you tried to express your goals to a colleague and then realized that your colleague didn’t understand you? Do you wish that you could communicate more effectively? By being assertive, you convey your needs and goals in a clear and direct manner. Assertiveness is a communication style that confirms your right to be heard, but in a caring and respectful manner toward others. The more clearly and reasonably you express your goals, the more likely others will understand them. And as others understand your needs, they are more likely to help you attain your goals.
