The Long and Short of It

A panoramic photograph is a wide-angle photograph that equals or is greater than what the human eye can see. Typically, a panoramic photograph is displayed as a wide-format (landscape orientation) image with an aspect ratio of 2:1 or larger. For example, if a photograph is 4 inches tall, the image is 8 inches wide.

This ebook focuses on segmented panoramic photography, which involves manually capturing a single row of photographs and combining them into a panorama. You will learn about the planning and setup process for capturing a panoramic photograph. I will also share some of the tools that go into making panoramic photographs better during the capturing process and in postprocessing.
