Summary

In this chapter, we learned about using GoCV and PIGO, and built a program that detects faces from a live webcam. At the end of the chapter, we implemented a usable facial recognition system, got familiar with notions of hashing of facial features, and saw how to make fast inferences using the Gorgonia suite of libraries as well as GoCV, which is a binding for OpenCV.

In saying that, in the next chapter, we'll look at some of the implications of not having built your algorithm by yourself.
