This has been a rather hard chapter to write. The primary subject matter, without exaggeration, is one of existential threat. The methods used in the science at large are far more sophisticated than what I have covered in this chapter.
The techniques I covered is a small part of a large field of statistics known as time series analysis, where we've yet to even scratch the surface of it with this composition technique.
