It was springtime in 2012, and the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University (MSU) had recently entered into a partnership with Bisk Education, a worldwide leader in online education via its University Alliance platform. Since MSU had been a worldwide leader in supply chain management for more than half a century, it was looking strategically at the University Alliance platform as a global vehicle to take its supply chain management education and executive training across the globe. And naturally, global supply chain management had to be a critical portion of this global strategy.
