15. Canada

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are just over 34 million people living in Canada. According to the International Telecommunications Union (ITU; the UN agency for information and communication technologies) about 79 percent—or just under 27 million—Canadians are online.

According to the most recent Canadian census conducted in 2006, Canada has two official languages:

English—Spoken exclusively by 58.8 percent of the population

French—Spoken exclusively by 23.2 percent of the population
