3.1. Playing the Diversity Game

Instead of focusing on creating fair workplaces that are truly diverse, too many CEOs are playing the diversity game, mastering the movements and strategies to erect a carefully constructed diversity facade. Winning this game isn't difficult. Have you hired a chief diversity officer recently? Move ahead two spaces. Don't worry if the budget for programs is anemic or this so-called "officer" does not directly report to the CEO. Those types of details don't matter in the diversity game.
