If the reality-based picture provided by speaking with current insiders doesn't meet your needs and standards/values, you should think twice about accepting a position with a new company. You should especially be wary if your demographic characteristics determined the content of your interview. If that was the case, know that the stereotypes about you and your affiliations will have as much to say about your career progression in the organization as your performance.
