You can surround text with backtick symbols (`) to represent it in a monospaced font, like this.

If you want to create a block of code or a set of Terminal commands, you can put three backticks on a line by themselves before and after a block of text to turn it into monospace code:

```sudo apt-get updateapt-cache search gitlab```
