Generated information

Every data source can have up to five generated pieces of information:

  • Number of records: You can use it to find out how many lines are in your Data Source.
  • Latitude (generated) and Longitude (generated): You'll find this information if you have a Geographical field in your Data Source. They are used to create maps.
  • Measure Names and Measure Values: The first one contains the name of each Measure, the second one contains the values of each Measure. They have to be combined and you can use them to display multiple Measures at the same time (this is a focus of Chapter 7, Design Insightful Visualizations - Part 2).
