As we have seen, Hazelcast provides us with a dynamic data processing framework to build an application around. Recently, we have seen the rise of cloud computing, with more applications being designed to work with and run on cloud platforms. Embracing this new more ephemeral and agile approach to infrastructure, in this chapter, we shall look at the following:

  • New-found problems with cluster discovery in the cloud world
  • Manual-specific or nomination-node approach
  • Public cloud provider-specific solution
  • Spreading out our data around the world
