Scalability
VSAN 6.0 specifically debunked the scalability myths perceived earlier and has evolved from 8 nodes to 32 nodes. With the current release, it can scale up to 64 nodes in a cluster and can host 6400 virtual machines per cluster. The components per VSAN host has increased from 3000 to 9000. More specific details and updated information is available online in the VMware portal at https://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere6/r60/vsphere-60-configuration-maximums.pdf.
