Troubleshooting virtual domains

In addition to the troubleshooting techniques we have talked about in the previous sections, virtual domains have some peculiar aspects that we need to understand if we are required to solve an issue. We have to consider a series of hardware limits when we define how many VDOMs we are able to configure on a single FortiGate unit. If the device becomes overloaded, we can experience slow performing or non-responsive VDOMs. This kind of problem can be defined looking at the resource usage. We are able to define minimum levels of resources when using virtual domains, so that each one has access to the resources it needs. Resource settings are based on global settings or on a per-VDOM configuration.
