Installing KVM for IBM z Systems with ECKD devices
This appendix describes some of the differences between KVM for IBM z Systems installation on Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) devices as shown in 3.2, “Setting up KVM for IBM z Systems” on page 31 and installation on ECKD devices.
Parameter file
It is possible to specify ECKD devices in the .prm file the same way that we did for SCSI devices in 3.2.1, “Preparing the .ins and .prm files” on page 32.
Example A-1 shows a parameter file that specifies ECKD devices for the installer.
