C. Troubleshooting

Sometimes Macaw can be a cranky bird. The software is still quite new, and problems sometimes happen. In this appendix, we’ll suggest some tricks to try when you encounter unexpected behaviors.

Save, Quit, and Restart

Macaw is, on some level, a really souped-up web browser. Just as web browsers can misbehave from time to time, so can Macaw. Just like a web browser needs to be quit and restarted from time to time to stay happy and healthy, so does Macaw. If Macaw ever starts to feel slow in any way, save your project, quit, and restart. On a reasonably fast computer, this takes just a few seconds, and usually any problems you might have had will go away.
