Our base-stand looks pretty good, but it needs some grass growing on it. It would be way too boring just to have our dragon sitting in the dirt. Some grass will make it look like someone’s yard and help ground our future illustration in a sense of reality. Fortunately, ZBrush has a very good tool for adding grass to our scene, the FiberMesh tool set.

Use Tool.LoadTool to load our base-stand model into ZBrush. Draw it on screen and go into Edit mode by pressing the T hot key. In the Tool.SubTool menu, select the ground subtool of the base-stand tool. Now hold down the CTRL key to activate the MaskPen brush and paint a mask on the ground model. This mask will control where and how many fibers are placed.
