Sometimes, you want to include additional information that either doesn't fit or doesn't make sense to include it in the body of your resume. In those rare cases, the best strategy is to use a resume addendum. This document conveys additional information, related experience, or extra credentials that you want to communicate to a prospective employer.

Usually, this type of material would be shared late in the interview process, when you feel that you need to pull out all the stops. Obviously, there is an upside and a downside to using this tool, since it's not standard, but the very fact that you're sending a little something extra can be enough to give the impression that you are extra-qualified, extra-interested, or extra-prepared. This is often all it takes to separate you from a crowded field of candidates who are going after the same opportunities.
