Performance – Cruise

Abstract

A large number of steady level and accelerated cruise methods are presented in the chapter. First, the equation of motion is adapted to unaccelerated level flight. The resulting formulation is used to develop many classical analysis methods to determine a number of important steady level cruise performance, including the most important types of cruising speeds encountered in the operation of aircraft.
