Chapter 8. Collaboration and Teamwork

This chapter explores one of the more important aspects of iterative game design: collaboration. Topics such as setting up team rules, running meetings, and establishing roles are discussed. And perhaps most important, techniques for resolving differences and conflicts among team members are introduced.

Before diving further into the game design process, let’s step back and think about the collaborative nature of making games. Both of us have been part of many collaborative projects throughout our careers, with teams ranging from 2 to 20 people.
