Gathering resources for creating the main menu

Now that the Draw and Draw GUI events have been covered, we can cover the assets that will need to be created to create the main menu. The following are the assets required to create the main menu:

  • obj_main_menu: This is the object resource for the main menu
  • rm_main_menu: This is the room that will contain an instance of obj_main_menu
  • scr_on_menu_button_pressed: This is the tenth script resource, used by obj_main_menu
  • fnt_main and fnt_title: These are the two font resources used to render text
