Head

I always start with the head on a character because it is usually the most important and trickiest area to work with. This character is no exception with his odd-shaped head, large ears, and beard.

Let’s look at the head on its own (see Figure 6.10). It looks like we may have to divide this further to make our job of mapping it easier. The obvious things to do would be to detach his ear and beard, but we must be careful of seams.
