Combining Elements

Before we begin to seamlessly attach these elements we need to remove some geometry. We do this both to make way for the connections and to remove any redundant areas.

1.
As in Figure 5.10, remove the right-hand side of the torso. As mentioned earlier, we will eventually mirror this side of the model to create the other, so there is no need to keep these polygons.

Next move in to the pelvis area, as shown in Figure 5.11. Delete the polygons from the lower torso, adjusting them so they roughly match where the leg would naturally join the pelvis.
