Google’s cofounder Sergey Brin had his genes decoded by genetic testing company 23andMe.1 The results gave him reasons to be concerned. ‘The exact implications of this are not entirely clear,’ he wrote on his blog. ‘Nonetheless it is clear that I have a markedly higher chance of developing Parkinson’s in my lifetime than the average person.’2
