Integration

Integration is the point in the development process when Stan, as the application architect, takes all the wonderful code created by his “army” of developers and assembles it into the final application.

Putting the code together might seem to be a trivial matter. After all, the fuses have all been unit tested and certified to operate correctly. Therefore, it’s tempting to think that when the fuses and circuits are dropped together on the server, the application will run correctly as well. In an ideal case, following appropriate integration testing, that would be true. Stan would drop all the fuses into their appropriate directories, fire up his browser, point it at the application’s starting page, and watch his beautiful new application ...
