Chapter 21A Testing Framework for Elixir

by Bruce Tate

As Dave Thomas shared in Chapter 10, Patterns and Transformations in Elixir, I too fell in love with Elixir. I fell so hard that my business, icanmakeitbetter,[23] began a year-long transition from Ruby on Rails to Elixir. That’s one hell of a commitment to sell to your boss, but in truth, many in our industry have to make the same commitment to address new multicore architectures and increasingly distributed designs. We believe the payoff will be significant. In this chapter, I’m going to walk you through one aspect of that process: testing. I hope that in the process, you’ll get a deeper sense of what it’s like to solve real problems in Elixir.
