Fiske v. Silver Mine Hotel and Casino

A gambler left the casino with over $5,000 cash in his pocket, entered his motorhome in the parking lot, and was surprised by a man who had forced his way in, then attempted to knock the owner unconscious for the purpose of robbing him. During the ensuing scuffle, the owner was shot. The Silver Mine Hotel and Casino was the named defendant in this action alleging their security department failed to provide an adequate level of protection for guests and visitors, particularly in the parking lots, and was negligent in the overall supervision and deployment of security personnel throughout the complex.
