Transferring Media to an Edit Drive

After you’ve selected an appropriate media drive, the next step is to transfer your media from portable field storage to an edit drive. How you transfer data depends on how you’ve backed up that footage in the field. Your two choices include:

As folders and files. If you’ve backed up your footage by copying folders and files from a camera memory card to a portable field drive, simply copy those folders and files to your media (edit) drive. Just be sure to copy every folder and file.
