Business casual is still business first. Appropriate apparel is a shirt that requires buttons to close, a “pressable” pair of slacks and polishable shoes—not a T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Offices with business-casual dress codes that inadvertently become everyday casual can send the wrong message to clients. It could say that you're lax on your deliverables.
