System users
System users located on the server where FreeRADIUS is running can be used as a user store.
System users are traditionally associated with the /etc/password, /etc/shadow, and /etc/group files.
Linux machines can also use other means like NIS and LDAP, which allow a more central location of system users. This section, however, will focus on using system users defined locally on the server.
