Using SuperProbe

The SuperProbe program will probe your video hardware and attempt to determine what type of video card is installed in the system, the amount of video RAM it contains, and so on. SuperProbe cannot detect all hardware, nor can it detect all the information on some of the hardware it does know about. Still, it can be very useful if you do not know what kind of video hardware is installed on your system, and you need to find out in order to install X-Windows.

Caution

There is a chance that SuperProbe could cause your system to hang when it is run. Because of this, make sure that you have saved any documents that you are currently working on in case your system hangs and you need to reset it.
