Customizing the Gnome Panel

Most of the Gnome panel customization options can be accessed by right-clicking a blank spot on the panel, selecting "Panel", choosing "Properties", and then selecting one of the various options from the submenus under Properties. You can also select "Global Preferences" from the Panel menu to change global preferences affecting the Gnome Panel. This will open the panel section of the Gnome Control Center. The Gnome Control Center is covered in detail later on in this chapter.
